Depends what you want the mp3 for – you want just music, it would be better to iRiver you want photos and music, maybe the movies, go to a iPod. The research is a good thing – the Internet is a good tool – find out what your friends recommend brands, then the investigation from there. Thus is how I ended up with my iPod nano. Just make sure you know what you're after
